The pretty beast turned heads everywhere as she trotted through the streets of the anime and manga loving neighbourhood.
In Japan, it’s almost impossible to keep track of all the anime and manga that currently exist in the country. With new releases constantly appearing on the scene, and bookstores stacked full to overflowing with serialised manga and visual novels, it’s easy for some new developments on the scene to go overlooked by people who find it difficult to keep up with all the fandom.
One way to ensure your manga or anime doesn’t go unnoticed is to follow in the footsteps of manga series A Centaur’s Life, known in Japan as Centaur’s Worries, which chose to promote its anime television series adaptation in a most unusual way.

According to the small poster pasted on the centaur’s hindquarters, the comedy manga series by Kei Murayama, which first appeared in Tokuma Shoten’s Monthly Comic Ryū magazine from February 2011, has been adapted into anime television series, which began airing in Japan on 9 July.
The series follows the daily lives of a variety of mythological creatures, who live together in an everyday environment.
The central character, a centaur girl named Himeno Kimihara, was chosen to promote the new series on the streets of Akihabara two days before the anime series premiere, and it wasnt long before photos of the pretty centaur started appearing on social media.

In the series, the centaur character has a gentle personality, and is said to be “at an age where she is anxious about the size of her chest and body”.

The pretty cosplayer who turned heads in the quadruped costume was Yutori, a popular cosplayer who has 107,000 followers on Twitter. She shared the fun of the outfit with this short clip, which she posted online.

Yutori’s pretty smile and unique outfit attracted a lot of attention around Akihabara so hopefully it’s only a matter of time before other manga and anime series decide to bring more cute cosplay like this out onto the streets of Japan.
Our only request is that it doesn’t end up looking as unkempt as this centaur, who was spotted roaming the streets back in 2013.
