There’s literally so much stuff that they could make an entire museum out of it.
The new Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card Arc anime is set to air in Japan come 7 January, and it’s never too late to rewatch previous episodes to catch up with the plot.
To commemorate the kickoff of a new series after 17 years, anime character goods store Kiddy Land has collaborated with the Cardcaptor Sakura franchise to bring a ton of merchandise to eager fans. All 39 Kiddy Land branches in Japan will set up special stores on 8 January dedicated to Sakura Kinomoto and her friends, but only a few branches come with exclusive bonus items.
The first 50 customers to the Harajuku and Osaka Umeda branches will each receive a poster autographed by Sakura Tange, the voice actress of leading character Sakura.
▼ They have to purchase at least one item to be eligible for the poster.
Customers who spend more than 2,000 yen (US$17.75) in the store will receive one special postcard out of three available designs, and those whose total exceed 6,000 yen can collect all three in a set.
▼ Applicable to all Kiddy Land branches,
these limited postcards are timeless collectables.
▼ Shoppers can take their prized goods home in a
free Cardcaptor Sakura-themed bag available in late January.
Cerberus and Spinel mascots will greet customers around the Harajuku and Osaka Umeda branches respectively on 8 January, swapping places come 13 January. What’s more, photography sessions at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m let fans pose with their favorite guardians for a very special moment.
▼ Each time slot only accommodates up to 20 customers for photography, so hurry!
▼ A ton of limited-time goods are also available, such as candy drops (800 yen)…
▼ …popcorn bottles (800 yen)…
▼ …square can badges (450 yen)…
▼ …a unique can mirror (700 yen)…
▼ …and a stylish A4-sized tote bag (2,000 yen).
▼ There’s plenty of new additions to the already impressive lineup,
including little charming dolls (1,380 yen)…
▼ …cool train IC card stickers (500 yen)…
▼ …snazzy smartphone cases (3,200 yen)…
▼ …and adorable pouches in which to store your valuables (2,000 yen).
There’s more merchandise not mentioned here, but it’d be way better to just head down to one of the stores and browse to your heart’s content. 7 January can’t come soon enough, and in the meantime, why not check out the intriguing preview video of Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card Arc?
