The Turks arrive and immediately yank the spotlight away from designated protagonist Cloud, as does Aerith’s beautiful dress.

The annual Tokyo Game Show is going on right now, making it the last big domestic event for the developers of the long-awaited Final Fantasy VII Remake to show the game off before its promised release in the spring. For those who can’t make it to the show floor, though, publisher Square Enix has released a brand-new preview video to let fans know just how far the game has come, and also to give them a few eyefuls of the beloved RPG’s biggest scene stealer.

Naturally, the game’s opening playable trio, Cloud, Tifa, and Barret, figure prominently in the trailer’s early action. However, in Final Fantasy VII no one steals a scene like Reno, stylish laid-back member of the Shinra Electric Power Company’s investigative/enforcer division, the Turks.

▼ Shinra’s dress code is apparently strict enough to require suit jackets, but relaxed enough that shirt buttons are pretty much optional.

Two other Turks also make appearances in the video: Rude, sunglass-sporting straight man to Reno’s loose cannon antics, and cool-and-collected Tseng. Sadly, their colleague Elena is nowhere to be found in the teaser. Other familiar faces who are present include Shiva and Ifrit, the Final Fantasy franchise’s recurring ice and fire elemental summon creatures.

The video also marks the first new footage of the Honey Bee Inn side quest, in which Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith infiltrate an implied brothel in an operation that requires Cloud to disguise himself as a woman. While director Tetsuya Nomura has promised that Cloud will once again crossdress in the remake, it’s Aerith who we see in a dress in the video, which also shows the inn’s very excited owner, Corneo, using his preferred term of affection, “little kitten.”

Much like how the game’s graphics are beautifully crafted visuals based on decades-old designs, the scenes shown in the video are also a mix of new and old elements. Certain set pieces will be instantly familiar to veterans of Final Fantsy VII’s original version, but it looks like there are going to be some original encounters as well, like a motorcycle-riding Soldier operative who pursues the heroes, and it looks like there’s a new dart-throwing minigame as well as timing-based pull-up exercise sequence.

▼ There’s also plenty of footage of Tifa, for anyone keeping tabs on the size of her much-discussed bust size.

Final Fantasy VII Remake goes on sale for the PlayStation 4 worldwide on March 3.
