If six exhibitions weren’t enough for your Studio Ghibli pilgrimage around Japan, RocketNews24 has another one to add to the list. If you’re a fan of Castle in the Sky, Princess Mononoke and The Girl Who Leapt through Time then you better pack your bags and head to Tokyo quick, because this exhibition is only open for 10 days.
You might not be familiar with his name, but if you have seen any of Studio Ghibli’s major works like Castle in the Sky or Grave of the Fireflies, then you’ll be familiar with his beautiful artwork. While Nizo didn’t work exclusively for the famous animation studio, his influence can still be felt throughout many of their films. Luckily, those who can get to Galerie Juillet in Koenji, Tokyo between May 21 and May 31 can marvel at his epic artwork for free!

The gallery will feature about 50 pieces of his work on Castle in the Sky, Grave of the Fireflies, Princess Mononoke and The Girl Who Leapt through Time. Alongside those scenes will be some of his new works like the picture book Kibo no Ki (Tree of Hope) featuring the Miracle Pine in Rikuzentakata and art from the Etrian Mystery Dungeon game (Sekaiju to Fushigi no Danjon).
