Here, customers can request a special colour designed by Shiga called “Kotori Beige”, which perfectly matches the hair colour of Kotori Minami, one of the main characters from the hugely popular anime series Love Live!.

While “Kotori Beige” is an immensely popular 2.5D colour at the salon, there are a number of different shades to match other anime stars too.
▼ “Sheryl Pink” is named after Sheryl Nome from the anime series Macross Frontier. The colour recreates the almost transparent shine in her pale pink locks.

▼ “Hitagi Purple” is based on the deep purple shade seen on Hitagi Senjōgahara from the light novel series Monogatari.

From pale to vivid, Shiga’s Twitter and Instagram pages are filled with photos that show there’s no end to the variety of colours that can be created by this talented stylist. Despite working long hours, Shiga says he feels incredibly happy when customers go home feeling like they’ve become their favourite anime character.
