Dragon Ball Super: Broly promises to be an action-packed movie fans have been clamoring for, featuring protagonists Goku and Vegeta taking on a fearsome Broly, the movie’s titular legendary Saiyan.
Although the animated film’s premier experienced some logistical hiccups in Japan, fans out there are still stoked for its December 14 release. Nevertheless, people who have just started dipping their toes into the Dragon Ball series might be wondering what it would take to defeat one of the most powerful villains in the universe.
And if you’d like to remain un-spoiled yourself, then this is your last chance to turn back before we discuss the spoiler!

Okay, here we go!
▼ The foil to Broly was apparently laid out in plain sight
in a recent promotional short by Bandai.
Imagine watching a television program when a sneak preview of the upcoming, eagerly anticipated Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie appears. Instead of getting an adrenaline-pumping reel of explosive battle scenes, you would be treated to a massive spoiler in the first three seconds.
▼ “Gogeta approaches!!”
As the name suggests, Gogeta is the fusion of Goku and Vegeta, resulting in an immensely powerful entity that has only appeared in the Dragon Ball universe a handful of times.
▼ Gogeta has always been portrayed with yellow hair…
▼ …but we get to see “Gogeta Blue” this time around,
which seems to be a powered-up version of his usual self.
▼ And he is one serious badass.
Although Japanese netizens were mostly thrilled to see Gogeta Blue dishing out justice, some were disappointed that the most thrilling part of the film was revealed in the preview.
“Might as well let everyone know since they will find out anyway, right?”
“Great! They reveal the plot two weeks before its release.”
“I am really annoyed right now.”
“Gogeta Blue is so cool! But I wish they didn’t reveal him for better impact.”
“This isn’t a spoiler. It’s just telling the truth.”
Although Gogeta Blue does seem to be supremely cool, we are not sure if revealing him two weeks before the film’s release was the right thing to do. At least we now know that big bad Broly has finally met someone just as full of attitude as him.
