China News reported that an unknown perpetrator destroyed a nursery used to breed cockroaches for medicinal purposes resulting in one million escaping into the surrounding neighborhood. The incident happened in Dafeng City in the eastern coastal province of Jiangsu on August 20. Authorities from the Board of Health traveled to the site on August 22 to perform “large-scale disinfection” of the immediate area because, you know, cockroaches had been walking all over everyone’s business. Specialists urged residents to keep calm, stating that there was no immediate danger. But honestly, how is anyone supposed to keep calm in this situation?
