Arm yourself with this replica holster, modeled after the one used by NERV’s Misato.
The Evangelion Store has announced their release of an official replica of the “NERV Horizontal Shoulder Holster.” The design is based off of the one seen in Stage 50 of the Evangelion manga, as worn by Misato Katsuragi, and is to be manufactured by anime goods creator Groove Garage.
The item will be made out of high quality leather and can even support real guns, making it ideal for use in airsoft weapons. It will also have a special pouch, designed to hold most smartphones. While the promotional photo shows the holster fitting a women roughly of Misato’s proportions, the straps are adjustable, and can fit customers of either gender. In addition, customers will receive a special serial number card featuring an illustration by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, Evangelion‘s character designer.
The holster is currently up for preorder on the Evangelion Store, and will be available for full purchase some time in April. Altogether, it will cost 54,000 yen (approximately 530 USD).
The Evangelion manga ended in Japan in June of last year.
