All around the world, fans are tuned onto the Internet to watch streams of the new Sailor Moon Crystal. At the time of the release (July 5), 12 different languages had been subtitled so people everywhere could enjoy watching our familiar clumsy heroine, Usagi! A brand new generation can grow up with Sailor Moon as she begins her Sailor Senshi life all over again! Unfortunately for us old school fans, the familiar “Moonlight Densetsu” or “Moonlight Legend” won’t be signaling the beginning of Sailor Moon Crystal episodes. No need to worry because Saturday Morning Slow Jams has our back.
An inspired slow jam cover of the familiar opening theme surely takes us back to the mid-90s when the only two anime competing for our attention were Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z. Enjoy the memories through both English and Japanese lyrics, but don’t close your eyes. You won’t want to miss out on 90’s Tambourine Guy on the right!
