It’s a well-established fact that Disney theme parks are places of dream and magic. Well, visitors to Tokyo Disney Resort can now feel the magic even while washing their hands — courtesy of the special “Hand Washing Areas” that officially opened today July 1 at both parks in the Resort.
Yes, guests at Tokyo Disney Resort can now wash their hands with adorable Mickey-shaped soap foam, and parents just may have to deal with their children wanting to wash their hands too many times instead of not enough!
Two Hand Washing Areas have been installed in Tokyo Disney Resort — one in Critter Country at Tokyo Disneyland and the other in American Waterfront at Tokyo DisneySea, and as you can see in the picture above, the soap dispensers placed there are designed to squirt out soap foam in the shape of Mickey’s head! Now, who can resist the promise of cleanliness in such a cute form?
▼ They even had an official opening ceremony for the Hand Washing Areas!
And below are photos of the two Hand Washing Areas, the one in Disneyland’s Critter country on the left, and the one in DisneySea’s American Waterfront on the right.
The new Mickey soap foam dispensers have also been installed in four restrooms in each of the Parks, and they will be increasing this number in the future.
https://twitter.com/conpetti/status/616027691205038080The Hand Washing Areas are actually a part of a promotion to announce the sponsorship of several rides in Tokyo Disney Resort, including Splash Mountain and Toy Story Mania, by Kao Corporation, a major Japanese beauty, health and home care manufacturer especially known for their soap products.
Kao is also sponsoring the “Custodial Kids!” at Tokyo DisneySea, a program from children that is being offered as part of Tokyo Disney Resort’s two-day “Kids’ Special” vacation packages, where kids can dress up in the white uniform of the Disney custodial staff and experience helping with some of the crew’s clean-up operation. For anyone who may be interested, the package is available from July 18 to August 30 and on select days in September.
So, it looks like visitors to Tokyo Disney Resort will now have a good and fun reason to keep their hands extra clean. And we have to agree, it’s a good idea to try to keep those germs away when you’re in a large, crowded area with so many people. We, for one, can’t wait to try the special soap dispensers the next time we’re at Tokyo Disney Resort, and we hope kids (and adults too, for that matter) visiting the parks have a great time keeping their hands dirt-free!
