Something about Ditto’s derpy face and his power to turn into other Pokémon is endearing. He so badly wants to be a member of the group but no matter what he does, his face gives it away. Take last year, where one Ditto must have really wanted to dance with the 1,000 Pikachu in Yokohama. Children loved him anyway, even if his eyes were a little beady.
Starting on March 26, Ditto is at it again by sneaking into a new line of plush goods. The “Henshin! Metamon” (Transform! Ditto) series turns the amorphous pink blob into a Pikachu, Clefairy, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. The line includes plush toys (1,200 yen) and key chains (800 yen).
If you want to bring Ditto home with you, he can be purchased at official Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Online and the Amazon Pokémon store.
