The six new team members are only a month old!
Taiwan’s National Police Agency (NPA) welcomed a few new recruits last month and the Internet is now head over heels for the little guys. The NPA shared photos of the members-in-training on their Facebook page, and it’s easy to see why everyone is so smitten.
▼ I mean will you just look at them!
The new four-legged members of the police force, born May 9, are just over a month old. For now they are just doing normal puppy things, like eating, sleeping, and being absolutely precious, but will soon enough begin training to join the K-9 Anti-Bomb and Drug Unit in Taipei. The puppies’ mother, named Yellow, is currently part of the 22-dog unit.
▼ They’ve got some big shoes, er… collars to fill.
The puppies’ names are Lucky Star, Schumann, Feida, Brother, AJ, and Full Moon.
“We hope that in the future the puppies can be like their mother Yellow, that they can pass through training successfully and enter the police force,” wrote the NPA in its Facebook post.
The NPA captain also remarked, “Sometime, [Lucky Star] would fall asleep while eating, and then he would wake up suddenly and carry on eating like nothing happened. How could people not love something as cute as that?” How not, indeed! Working on the K-9 unit is now probably at the top of “Things I Want To Be When I Grow Up” lists around the world.
▼ This photo has “dream job” written all over it.
We wish these puppers the best of luck with their training, and should they not pass the test, we’ll be waiting to take them in with open arms! In the meantime, we’ll probably just have to satisfy our puppy-love with these scratch-and-sniff cards that smell like dogs.
