A sneak peek at the hottest thing to come out of Japan this winter!
So did everyone have a fun holiday season? Did you stuff yourself with Christmas turkey, drink like a fish on New Year’s Eve, and then spend January 1relaxing on the couch watching American college football and/or Japan’s New Year’s Day college relay race?
Great! But now vacation is over. It’s time to get back to work on achieving your destiny in 2019, and we’ve got just the thing to keep your organized on your path to greatness.
Orders are officially open for the annual sexy men’s calendar from RocketNews24 (as SoraNews24 is still called domestically in Japan). As in years past, it features a collection of our most handsome/willing-to-get-almost-buck-naked male reporters posing in skimpy outfits such as our company fundoshi, a traditional Japanese loincloth in the same shade of red as adorns our website.
Sidetracking for a moment, longtime readers may have noticed fewer articles this year from Meg, the head of our Photogenically Eating and Drinking Stuff Division.
▼ Meg
That’s because she’s been on maternity leave, but even with a young baby to take care of, Meg’s dedication to her craft means that she once again returns as creative director of our men’s calendar.
After finishing the concept storyboard and layout, our reporter Tasuku grabbed the camera and began shooting, following Meg’s detailed instructions.
▼ Sorry, Tasuku. If you get to spend a day photographing sexy cosplay ladies at Comiket, you also have to spend a day photographing Ahiru Neko’s bare chest.
In addition to our head office in Tokyo’s Shinjuku neighborhood, this year’s calendar features photography shot on-location in Fukuoka Prefecture and even Kenya.
Each month features a different exquisite photo, with the complete list being:
● January: Decorative Fans (Mr. Sato, Seiji Nakazawa, Ahiru Neko)
● February: Muscular Representative! (P.K. Sanjun)
● March: Nature (Masanuki Sunakoma)
● April: Spring in Full Bloom (Yoshio)
▼ Yes, that is our boss.
● May: Newlywed♪ (Yuichiro Wasai)
● June: Super Guradoru (Mr. Sato)
● July: Yngwie~Sexy Men’s Calendar ver.~ (Seiji Nakazawa)
▼ What will Seiji’s girlfriend’s mom think?
● August: Fluffy Cutie (Yota Ishii)
● September: YOGGY (Go Hatori)
● October: Yuka-don (Ahiru Neko)
● November: My Sexy 2019 (Ruka)
● December: The First-Class Butt Boys (Yoshio, Go Hatori, Yuichiro Wasai, P.K. Sanjun, Yota Ishii)
Once all the photos were taken, Tasuku handed the data off to Meg, who went to work assembling the calendar from the sexy, sexy components.

By now, we’re sure you’re all wondering where you can buy this amazing work of art, and the answer is Amazon Japan. Orders can be placed here for 1,000 yen (US$8.85), and proceeds will be donated to charity, so you’ll be helping make the world a better place as Mr. Sato and company stare at you with their bedroom eyes all year long in 2019.
