On Wednesday, July 16, reports came from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department announcing that two women had been arrested on suspicion of violating the Japanese Anti-Prostitution Law of 1956. Those apprehended are thought to have been running a prostitution ring for men with a fetish for fleshy females. The average weight of the women they dispatched to paying customers was a good 100 kg (220 pounds)!
The ladies in charge, Ms. Saito and Miyazono, were once the respective owner and shop manager of a club boasting “full-bodied women with giant breasts and big butts.” The 31 girls in their employ ranged from 60 to 155 kg (140 to 340 pounds) in weight. Although such an abundance of body mass is not considered ideal in our modern society, it is believe that the business pulled in approximately 400 million yen (US$4 million) since 2010.
Saito, the club’s owner, who also happens to weigh in at about 110 kg “just thought that setting up shop would be profitable.” Profitable and highly illegal. Prostitution is a big problem in the eyes of the law, now for many definitions of ‘big.’
