Girls und Panzer is a popular anime, manga and light novel series following a group of girls who live in an alternate universe where women participate in “the art of battling tanks” and young girls attend schools where they learn to operate WWII-era tanks as a martial art. The series is extremely popular in Japan as well as abroad and will soon be turned into a video game for PS Vita.
Details are still being kept a secret (with a promise of more information on November 28), but for now we know that the Girls und Panzer video game will arrive in Spring 2014. It will be released by Namco Bandai Games for the PlayStation Vita (no word on any other gaming systems being supported). The game is being categorized as a “dramatic tank action game” and sees players clearing missions by operating tanks. Long-time fans of the series will be happy to know that players will be transported into a world of original storyline and dialogue that has never before been seen in the Girls und Panzer anime, manga or light novel. Get ready for some exciting tank action with a feminine touch!
