If you’re waiting anxiously to catch a glimpse of the live-action Attack on Titan film slated for release in 2015, then this is a TV commercial you won’t want to miss. It’s the latest ad for Subaru Forester and while the car looks pretty flashy, all eyes will be darting around the vehicle to check out the awesome titans in action. Screened tonight, with a lot of hype around its debut between the hours of 9:00pm and 10:30pm in Japan, the ad is like a teaser for the live-action film to come. In a country full of weird and wonderful collaborations, this tie-in promotion with a car and people-guzzling giants is the one joint venture we’ve all been waiting for.
The collaboration between the Subaru Forester and Attack on Titan, aka Shingeki no Kyojin, is cleverly dubbed the Shingeki Forester.

The storyboards released in the run-up to the TV commercial debut were awesome but they still didn’t give us any clue as to what the real-life version would look like.

So when the commercial began we waited with baited breath. And then these beautiful giants finally appeared.
Looking surprisingly like the Titans in the anime version. Only a thousand times better.
They might be smashing up the road but we still wished we were the ones in that little big car.
And then the climax of the whole event appeared as the car drove into the arms of the Colossal Titan.
Excuse me while I go re-watch that part again. Because it blew my hair back and rocked my socks. Is it possible to fall in love with a hot, steamy, man-eating giant? Because I think I just did.
