As two of the most popular leisure destinations in one of the most crowded countries on the planet, Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea can get pretty packed with visitors. The more guests who show up, the longer you’ll spend waiting in line for attractions (so be sure to follow our advice about the best days to visit this year), so in order to get the most out of their day, some people try to arrive as early as possible, so they can get into the parks as soon as they open.

Of course, with so many Disney fans in Japan, even if you show up at that early hour, you’re likely to be sharing the park with a throng of other excited kids of all ages. If only there was some way you could get in even earlier.

Actually, starting April 14, Disney is offering a way to do just that.

The new perk is available for guests who stay at the theme parks’ affiliated hotels, the Disney Ambassador Hotel, Tokyo DisneySea Hotel Mira Costa, and Tokyo Disneyland Hotel. The system is dubbed Happy 15 Entry, which unfortunately doesn’t refer to 15 free passes, nor does it entitle you to 15 rounds at one of DisneySea’s alcohol-serving eateries.

What it does let you do is get into the parks 15 minutes before they officially open to the public. There’s even a special entrance (pictured below) set up for the system, so you won’t have to feel self-conscious being led past the masses still lined up outside the entrance and angrily hurling rotten fruit at you for lording your privilege over them (or, this being Japan, the neat rows of teens and families waiting patiently).

Unfortunately, being inside the parks before they officially opens means that, well, not much is open, so the main advantage of this service is that it gives you time to head to your favorite ride and be first in line once the resort opens in earnest. Two attractions do start operating before the regular gate opens: Monsters Inc. Ride and Go Seek and Toy Story Mania.

Selected shops also open as soon as the Happy 15 Entry guests arrive, as shown in this commercial featuring the only kindergartener in the world who just can’t wait to get into Disneyland so she can find the perfect skirt for her mom!

Still, there’s definitely something attractive about being able to get into Disneyland before the throngs of guests that descend on it every day. A scant 15 minutes means you won’t have too much time to dawdle, but this doesn’t seem to be a problem for the mom who makes several appearance on the Happy 15 Entry website.

Honestly, we’re surprised a woman who can accomplish so much with just a quarter of an hour needs any more time in her life. All the same, the Happy 15 Entry system is a nice idea, and even if you’re not on the same level as the World’s Most Efficient Mom, it should give you enough time to snap a few pictures with an uncluttered background, plus ride the Matterhorn before anyone else.
