
In a continuation of Cut Video’s “100 Years of Beauty” series, the beautiful Leah Li displays the evolution of Chinese fashion through the decades.
It’s interesting to see the transformations in this fast-paced video, as you’re able to compare the little things that carry over from decade to decade, like the bright red lipstick from the 20s through the 40s.
The 50s favored a more toned-down, natural look.
A throwback to the old military uniforms of the 60s.
I’m sure every country has a similar version of the ubiquitous 80s hair.
And finally the flowing, light curls of this decade’s down-do.
Obviously there are multiple fashion trends in each decade, and while we didn’t get to see them all, getting a peek at some of the most popular makes for an interesting summary of the history of fashion. Which one’s your favorite?
