The wind wasn’t quite strong enough to pick up entire houses or bicycling old ladies, but Japan’s 18th typhoon of the season sent plenty of things flying onto balconies and outside windows. Twitter users across Japan were eager to post the evidence, giving us the following photo montage.
First up, flying gyoza.
▼ “Where the heck did this come flying from?”
▼ We’re impressed that these five little gyoza were able to stay stuck together while flying around in such a powerful typhoon.
▼ “Hey! Something weird came flying in the typhoon lol!”
▼ That almost looks like a steering wheel for the Wii!
▼ “Some melon bread came and flew over here because of the typhoon”
▼ This looks like it was taken from a second-story balcony! Who knew melon pan was so aerodynamic.
▼ “Hey! The typhoon made a duel disk fly!”
▼ Now some poor little kid can’t play with his Yu-Gi-Oh! cards.
▼ “A giant salamander was washed up from the Kamo River”
▼ We doubt this big guy was in the air at any time, but man, could you imagine seeing a Japanese giant salamander flying past your window?
Although it did make some pretty cool things fly, this past typhoon, officially named “Man-yi,” was a particularly strong one, causing massive flooding and other damage. To those of you in Japan, we hope you made it through the storm safely.
