Ever wondered what a wedding planned around your favorite video game franchise would look like? Newly married couple Grace and Chris have an answer to that question in the form of the following video taken at their stunning Final Fantasy-themed wedding ceremony filmed in Hawaii!
Grace and Chris’ ceremony combined a classic wedding look with plenty of nods to the fan-favorite series. Guests were also apparently given an FAQ sheet to clear up any questions for those unfamiliar with the gameplay basics of the video game series.
In the YouTube description of the professional wedding video that Grace posted online a few days ago, she wrote:
“We did the thing!
Happiest Day of our lives!! No phoenix downs needed!!
#gambitezwedding”

▼ Grace’s exquisite wedding dress was based on that of Garnet Til Alexandros XVII, the heroine of Final Fantasy IX.
▼ Chris’ groom’s outfit was an homage to the clothing in Final Fantasy Type-0 (see picture below).
▼ An exchange of gifts between the couple revealed some of their related interests in Japanese popular culture.
