What do you do when you want a Lamborghini but can’t afford one? You make one out of cardboard!
This stunning life-sized model was created by a team at Konno Konpou, a packing company in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture. Made entirely from cardboard (damboru in Japanese), the car is known as the “Damborghini”.
Modelled on the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4, the vehicle contains 500 individual cardboard pieces and was six months in the making.
With no fancy interior or working doors, the group concentrated on re-creating the streamlined body of the iconic sports car, with some impressive attention to detail.
While the real Lamborghini features a charging bull emblem on its hood, the Damborghini dresses up its front with a humorous logo: a bull in a pair of mirrored sunglasses.
The car body also features a sleek engine hood, making for a sexy rear design.
There’s even a set of detailed tyres with realistic-looking treads. Anyone who sees you from a distance will think you’re some sort of superhuman who can change a tyre with one hand!

From far away, this could be mistaken for the real McCoy. As you get closer, however, the car looks like an anime or video game vehicle that’s come to life.

And that hot pink bodywork is sure to turn heads!
Despite purchase requests from impressed car enthusiasts, the company has no plans to release the model commercially anytime soon. Personally, we’d like to see them open a special dealership with rows of car-dboard vehicles for customers to choose from. They’ll just have to make sure everything’s under cover in case it rains!
