There’s nothing that says you can’t have professional-grade musical skills and model-level looks.
Many would say that the saxophone has a soulful, even sexy sound to it. That same sensual image doesn’t necessarily extend to how we picture people who play the saxophone, though, as the imagined lifestyle of late nights spent in dark clubs, breathing in a mixture of second-hand smoke, alcohol fumes, and stale loneliness, wouldn’t usually do much for one’s appearance.
So the Internet has been surprised to find that Taiwan’s Wendy Wen, who also goes by Sax-Wendy, doesn’t have the leathery skin or world-weary expression of a stereotypical saxophonist. As a matter of fact, going by looks alone, she could just as easily be a fashion model as a jazz musician.
Wen rocketed to Internet fame late last month after playing at a function for Taiwanese Internet portal Mobile01.
But while her short-hemmed hound’s tooth dress and knee-high boots highlighted some unexpected eye candy, even a blind man could appreciate Wen’s talents when it was her turn to play.

Since being discovered online, Wen’s fans have sought out some of her previous performances, which include providing musical accompaniment for a pair of dancers…
…as well as a humble live show for afternoon visitors to what appears to be a park.

At the same time, there are now plenty of people who have been following Wen’s purely visual endeavor of a growing selfie portfolio.
If you’re interested in seeing more of Wen, she currently maintains two Facebook accounts, one as Wendy Wen and one as Sax-Wendy. If you’re interested in hearing more of her, you’ll have to keep your fingers crossed that she’ll decide to start her own YouTube channel soon as well.
