For a limited time during March and April, the Harajuku’s Rilakkuma Cafe in a Honey Forest Cafe will be serving up adorable Rilakkuma-inspired dishes and desserts.
While working for San-X, illustrator Aki Kondo created one of Japan’s most iconic characters, a lazy little bear named Rilakkuma, with friends Korilakkuma and Kiiroitori.

For over 10 years the trio has taken it easy, going on all kinds of food-related and relaxing adventures. However, in the most recent Rilakkuma series, Korilakkuma brings back a “new friend” from the honey forest, called Koguma-chan (Little Bear).
Not only is there a whole new line of products to welcome Koguma-chan to the Rilakkuma family, San-X has decided to roll out a new cafe in Harajuku, decorated like the honey forest from which he appeared.
For a short period from March 10 to April 10, fans of the series or all things cute can enjoy an array of special menu items, with three sets of entrees, desserts, and beverages to choose from.
Main dishes:
▼ Best buddies♪ Eggs Benedict
▼ Suddenly appearing from the forest! Rilakkuma Green Curry
▼ A new friend? Rilakkuma and Friends Carbonara
Desserts:
▼ Rilakkuma Pancakes ~Honey Forest~
New friend and Kiiroitori Chocolate Mousse
▼ I love strawberries♡ Korilakkuma’s Strawberry Honey Parfait
Drinks:
▼ Korilakkuma’s Light Honey Soda
▼ I love honey! Rilakkuma’s Honey Latte ~includes rusk~
▼ Full of fruit♪ Rilakkuma’s Strawberry Milk Smoothie
Seating at the cafe is by reservation only, with a 300 yen (US$2.68) Rilakkuma Cafe sticker (Reservation A) or 800 yen (US$7.11) Rilakkuma Cafe mason jar (Reservation B) service charge in addition at least one order per person off of the cafe menu. As time of writing, sticker Reservation A appears to be sold out, but there are still a few spots left for mason jar Reservation B. Reservations are divided in 80-minute time slots as follows:
① 11:00 a.m. – 12:20 p.m.
② 12:30 p.m. – 1:50 p.m.

⑦ 8:00 p.m. -9:20 p.m.
Diners can also purchase limited, original Rilakkuma Cafe items like plates, stationery, towels, and mugs every day during the cafe shop area’s opening hours.
If you were one of many who missed the Rilakkuma x Tower Records Cafe last year, be sure to act quickly! Once all of the reservation spots are gone, parties that wish to dine at the cafe will have to show up the day-of and hope for a cancellation.
