Turns out cats aren’t always such perfect models of graceful poise.
Do you ever have one of those days where you can barely find the energy to put one foot in front of the other? Imagine how much more difficult that situation would be if you were a cat, with four feet to deal with instead of two.
That seems to have been the problem Japanese Twitter user @yuto0812127’s cat was grappling with. The crafty feline, though, realized that there’s a way to get from Point A to Point B with minimal effort, provided Point A is at the top of a staircase and Point B is at the bottom.

Perched on the landing, @yuto0812127’s kitty chooses not to agilely hop down the remaining steps. Instead, it takes the alternate approach of rolling onto its back, scooching its head off the ledge, and letting gravity do the rest.
While we’re sure some fellow members of the animal kingdom would approve, should @yuto0812127’s cat ever decide to turn over a new leaf and try to lead a more energetic lifestyle, we think we know the perfect role model.
Following Casey on Twitter only takes about as much effort as falling down the stairs.
