Complete with a touch panel ordering system, unusual menu items, and jet take-off sounds, this new restaurant is set to change the way we enjoy grilled meat forever!
A brand new restaurant in Aichi Prefecture is making news around the country for taking the conveyor belt concept out from the confines of the sushi train and into the world of yakiniku grilled meat dining. The “Yakiniku Jet” takes its name from the high-speed lane that delivers meals to customers’ tables around the restaurant, using its location near the Centrair Central Japan International Airport to play up the theme of jet dining for families. With additional extras like aircraft take-off sounds upon delivery of food, which comes out at high speed on trays featuring miniature planes, this restaurant aims to keep you entertained and well-fed at the same time!
While the unusual entertainment factor is designed to appeal to families, the items on the menu aim to have customers coming back for more, with special dishes like the “Luxury! Three Famous Prime Specialties”, featuring Japanese Beef Ribs, Premium Skirt Steak, and Extra Thick Beef Tongue, for 2,580 yen (US$25.75).
One of the more unusual options on the menu is the “Assorted Chinese Medicine Beef”, which comes from cattle raised on feed that includes traditional herbs from Chinese medicine. Designed as a healthy dining option, this retails for 2,990 yen.
▼ And as a weekday lunch special, the restaurant is offering the “Nine Types of Grill” set for 1,680 yen
While the restaurant just opened its first location in Aichi Prefecture on 19 August, we’re hoping the meaty conveyor belt concept catches on with diners so we can see more Yakiniku Jet locations around Japan in the coming year!
