Welcome to Nissin’s new fictional host club, where sexual innuendo rules.

In Japan, there’s no end to the creative ideas that companies come up with to advertise their brands, and one of the most popular marketing tricks around today is anthropomorphism. From handsome Pocky men to good-looking Kit Kat guys, attributing human traits to products in the form of attractive anime characters is a sure-fire way to get yourself noticed, and now Nissin is joining the fray with its own series of Cup Noodle characters.

The popular instant ramen brand unveiled their new lineup of handsome men in a surprising new video on Monday, with each character embodying one of three “ethnic” flavours. Set in a fictional host club called “Club Es“, the host boys charm and seduce viewers with their chiselled features…and sexually charged acts with fresh ingredients.

Take a look at the new commercial below:

Phew, those instant ramen boys sure know how to heat things up in less than three minutes! In the commercial we were introduced to coriander bath-loving Tomya, the Tom Yum Kung noodle soup flavour voiced by Junichi Suwabe…

Lak, the Singaporean Laksa voiced by Natsuki Hanae

▼ And Blape, as Black Pepper Crab, voiced by Toshiki Masuda

Nissin is also offering fans the chance to win a “bouquet” of cup noodles as part of a Twitter promotion to mark the release of the new commercial. To enter, all you have to do is simply follow their official account and like or retweet the commercial by 11:59 p.m. (JST) on 5 April. 100 winners will be contacted by direct message by the end of the month.
