Chocobo, Moogle, and two more Final Fantasy mascot creatures want to go with you on your outside-the-house adventures.

Final Fantasy’s Chocobo and Moogle are always welcome presences, so any fan of the Square Enix video game series would be happy to have these cubic forms of the cute creatures gracing their home, right?

Ah, but Final Fantasy is, above all else, a story of adventure. So while it’s nice to know you have a Chocobo or Moogle waiting for you when you get home, something really true to the spirit of the series would be a Chocobo or Moogle who’ll go with you when you while you’re out in the field, and these guys can do that too!

These aren’t just ordinary plushies. They’re “Final Fantasy Fuzzy Slings,” with an attachable strap so that they can function as shoulder bags.

The boxy proportions are more than mere quirky aesthetics. To use their full name, these are the Final Fantasy Fluffy Sling Deck Boxes. Open up the flap, and inside is a deck case, sized to hold 145 cards from the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game.

However, just like you can take the shoulder strap on and off, the deck case is removable too. So if you’re not going to be engaging in any card battles while you’re out and about, you can slide the case out and use the bag to store whatever key items you actually do need for the day.

Also part of the Fuzzy Sling lineup is Cactaur, whose soft-to-the-touch fabric is a nice change of place from being pelted by his trademark 1,000 Needles attack.

And rounding out the quartet is Fat Cat, the newest entry to the franchise out of the four creatures here, but one who’s still much-loved, especially within the Final Fantasy XIV fandom.

All of the Fuzzy Slings are priced at 7,590 yen (US$48) and available for pre-order through the Square Enix E-store here, with shipping scheduled for late November.
