
Dreaming of a truly one-of-a-kind wedding in a magical setting? Well, there’s exciting news for people who want just that. Now you can get married at the ultimate fantasy lover’s venue — none other than the land of magic itself, Tokyo Disneyland.
Milial Resort Hotels Co., Ltd. and Oriental Land Co., Ltd.have recently announced that they will be offering the “Disney Royal Dream Wedding” program starting in September. Now, for the first time ever since Tokyo Disneyland opened in 1983, couples will actually be able to get married on the park premises, and what better place for a dream wedding than Cinderella Castle, that symbol of Disneyland?
The couple will be married in the Grand Ballroom of the castle, after which they will have their own mini parade in front of the castle, where they are certain to be delighted by the cheering and well wishes of the crowd of Disneyland cast and visitors.
But that’s not all. The program also includes a reception at the Cinderella Dream banquet room of the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel. What could be more delightful than a wedding reception where Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse make a special appearance to congratulate you on your special day?
For September and October of this year, the wedding program will be offered on just one or two days of the month, and only one wedding per day will be held. The schedule for November onwards is yet to be announced. The cost for a wedding with 50 guests (the maximum number that can be accommodated for a wedding in Cinderella Castle) is 7.5 million yen ($91,463). We’ll leave it up to you to decide whether that price is high or cheap for an experience that is probably as close to a fairytale wedding as you can get in real life.
Getting married in the busiest theme park in Japan may not be for everyone, but it is certain to be an unique and unforgettable experience for the couple and guests alike. Further information is available on the official Disney Fairytale Wedding website (in English).
