Mayonnaise is a highly debated condiment. There are those who praise it as a creamy, delicious gift to sandwiches while others curse its very existence. Even though the following job requires you to eat mayonnaise, mayo haters may still want to apply. Currently a topic of discussion on Japanese textboard, 2channel, the job in questions is simple: just eat mayonnaise and get paid 150,000 yen (US$1,540)!
Unfortunately, not just anyone can apply. The job listing asks for a healthy Japanese man between the ages of 20 and 45. Whoever is chosen for the job must consume mayonnaise and submit to a cholesterol test five times. Upon completion, the mayonaise eater will be compensated 150,000 yen (US$1,540).
No word on whether or not you are allowed to eat anything with the mayonnaise (we’re hoping this job doesn’t require you to eat a spoonful by itself). Come to think of it, the listing doesn’t say much of anything…there has to be a catch. You can’t possibly only have to eat some mayonnaise, get your cholesterol checked, and then get paid such a large amount of money. We’re wondering if this healthy Japanese man they are looking for is going to have to eat an entire tub of mayo and undergo crazy science experiments that are labeled as “cholesterol tests.” RocketNews Nation, consider yourself warned! Apply at your own risk!
