These unique fall designs with an ancient Japanese flair were one of the highlights of the recent Milan RTW Fashion Show.
Following last year’s fall/winter line that drew inspiration from the Wild West, this February fashion label Dsquared2 presented a modern take on feudal Japanese combat wear and Victorian fashion, with a number of items directly influenced from samurai armor and helmet designs.
Dsquared2 unveiled their new ready-to-wear women’s line-up during Milan’s fashion week last month, which you can see the runway show for below.
Here are just a few of our favorite outfits, which incorporated panels of armor cut from fur and trimmed in beads, along with stockings and bodysuits designed with Japanese tattoo art in mind.
The items are already up for reservation on Dsquared2’s website, but be prepared to shell out a couple of thousand dollars for many of the line-up’s key pieces, which are set to arrive sometime in September.
