Bring the crazy spirit of Harajuku fashion culture to your wardrobe by adding a giant slice of raw fish to your outfit.
If you’re looking to add a dash of colour to your fashion accessories, you can’t go wrong this striking range of sushi bags from Japanese online retailer Turn Over. Like something you’d see on the streets of Tokyo’s fashionable Harajuku district, the bags are designed to turn heads with their realistic, shiny coatings and large shapes.
▼ There are three types of “sushi” to choose from: egg, prawn, and salmon, with each piece sitting on top of a bag designed to resemble sushi rice.
▼ While they’re striking to look at, they’re also functional as well, with plenty of pockets to hold drink bottles, smartphones and other small accessories.
▼ The main storage compartment of the bag has room to hold B4-sized notebooks.
Ideal for studying or for play, a sushi backpack will brighten up any outfit and have you counting down the minutes to lunchtime every day. Available from online retailers, the bags have been so popular that many places are now sold out of all three varieties. Turn Over currently has the salmon and egg varieties in stock for 4,860 yen (US$47.53) each and are happy to respond to overseas shipping enquiries via their email address.
