This Chinese-German cosplayer is getting lots of love for her portrayal of some of the series’ less represented characters.
Shortly after the light novel series, Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World, made its anime adaptation debut back in April, cosplayers within Japan and abroad began stitching away to recreate costumes from the series, usually focusing on twin sisters Ram and Rem.
Among all those blue and pink-haired bobs running around, though, one German cosplayer, who goes by the name Lei Sakuragi, has recently managed to make a name for herself for trying out some of the series’ less appreciated characters like Felt and Felix Argyle, or Ferris, as he’s more commonly known by.

Lei quickly caught the attention of Japanese netizens and other cosplay enthusiasts around the world, prompting her to set up a Twitter account, which has gained almost 2,000 followers in just a week.
Other notable cosplays Lei has done include Mumei from Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, and Sailor Uranus from Sailor Moon.

Only time will tell if she’ll be able to cement herself as a cosplay celebrity online, but so far it looks like she’s off to a great start! We’re certainly in awe of her amazing costumes and adorable face!
