The designers at the mail order fashion site SuperGroupies are at it again with some Magic Knight Rayearth short boots for the wet, wintry season.
Each design is modeled after one of the main heroines from Clamp’s manga and anime series. Hikaru Shidou, Fuu Hououji, and Umi Ryuuzaki are represented in their respective red, green, and blue colors. The pairs are now available for pre-order for 21,384 yen (about US$181) and are made from genuine leather.
SuperGroupies is also offering tie-in jewelry, including a Hikaru necklace, Umi earrings, and Fuu bracelet. Each jewelry piece has an attached Mokona charm and costs 8,800 yen (US$75).
Magic Knight Rayearth is celebrating a revival this year as part of its 20th anniversary. Break Prize machines are also offering prizes and the series will get a crossover in the Crusade system card series. “Crusade Magic Knight Rayearth” went on sale on November 21, and includes cards with illustrations drawn by character designer Atsuko Ishida featuring the Magic Knights, as well as illustrations of the Rune Gods drawn by Crusade’s illustrator.
Discotek Media licensed the anime series and will release it on DVD with both English subtitles and dubbing in 2015. It will also offer a Blu-ray Disc version in 2016.
