Imperial court noble Pikachu, maiko Pikachu, and a Shiny Ho-Oh download are some of the exciting gifts now available around Japan!
Japan’s newest Pokémon Center in Kyoto has officially been in business for a little more than a week, having opened its doors on March 16 after a much-anticipated wait. Enthusiastic Pokéfans are no doubt eager to visit the new shop to get their hands on some exclusive Kyoto-themed merchandise. However, we’ve got some good news for those fans who live in other parts of Japan and can’t make the trek to the ancient capital city — the other nine Pokémon Centers and nine Pokémon Stores around the country are also celebrating the Kyoto branch’s grand opening by selling Kyoto-themed goods as part of a limited-time campaign!
First, let’s start off with the goods limited to the new Pokémon Center Kyoto:
▼ Imperial court noble Pikachu (sitting version) plushie and maiko Pikachu (sitting version) plushie (2,400 yen/US$21 each)
▼ Pokémon Center Kyoto logo pin (630 yen) & Pikachu metal charm set (500 yen)
▼ Pikachu pin set (630 yen) & Pikachu playing cards deck (1,250 yen)
▼ Two Pikachu A4-sized clear folders (500 yen)
▼ Plastic shopping bags, free with your purchase
Aren’t the Kyoto Pikachu mascots just adorable? All visitors to the new shop will also receive a free gorgeously illustrated picture card, and those who spend 4,000 yen ($35) or more will also receive a wooden strap depicting a Ho-Oh and Lugia poncho-wearing Pikachu duo:
Speaking of which, the poncho-wearing Pikachu duo will also be visiting the Kyoto shop every Saturday and Sunday until April 24 at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m., so don’t miss your chance to snap a commemorative photo with them.
Now, let’s move on to the goods that can be purchased at all Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores throughout Japan:
▼ Maiko Pikachu plushie (2,400 yen) and Pikachu metal charm set (500 yen)
▼ Pikachu pins set (630 yen) and two Pikachu A4-sized clear folders (500 yen)
Finally, all Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores across Japan will be offering the following two additional promotions.
First, visitors at all locations can receive a free Shiny Ho-Oh download for their Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire games on the Nintendo 3DS until April 24.
Second, shoppers will receive a commemorative imperial court noble Pikachu & maiko Pikachu playing card upon purchase of any five Pokémon trading card game expansion packs:
Apart from the Shiny Ho-Oh game download and the visiting Pikachu duo, all commemorative goods will be available until supplies run out. Please see the Official Pokémon Website for a complete listing of all 10 Pokémon Centers and nine Pokémon Stores in Japan and their individual shop information (English versions linked). Happy Pokécelebrations, everyone!
