Studying a language on the go has never been easier.
There are so many different ways that you can study a new language. You can take a class or buy some books and attempt some self-study, but whatever you decide on, the mountain of information you have to learn can sometimes be very daunting. This is why it can be helpful to take things at a measured pace so you don’t overload yourself.
Thankfully, there are some easy ways to do that when you are learning Japanese, but one of our new favorites is an Instagram account that regularly posts a word along with a colorful picture and an awesome description.
▼ Here are some examples from their dessert series.
▼ An example from their sushi theme
▼ One from their cafe words
The account is called nihongo_flashcards and while they’ve had numerous themes, their most recent has been street food. Looking at all the delicious depictions of some of our favorite festival foods really gets our brains and stomachs going! Now you’ll know exactly what to say when ordering at an upcoming fireworks festival!
The account posts pretty regularly, but not quite every day, which means you’ll be able to stay on top of all the new vocabulary you are learning. Plus, the extra time will allow you to absorb the interesting bonus information about the word they just introduced. That combined with the fun pictures definitely make nihongo_flashcrads a worthy addition to our Japanese study.
