As an avid anime fan, I sometimes wish my favorite characters were real humans, but the logical fangirl in me warns that if anime characters existed in real life, they probably wouldn’t be as awesome as they were in the original works. Just take Kuroko’s Basketball as an example, it would be impossible for Kuroko’s unbelievable skill, “Misdirection Overflow”, to happen in real life.
In such situations, I’m glad there are talented artists who create realistic looking fan art of anime characters, such as these amazing portraits!
The charismatic characters of the popular sports anime and manga series, Kuroko’s Basketball, have mesmerized thousands of fans with their good looks and amazing basketball skills. While they already look great as they are, we can’t help but wonder what they would look like if they were real people.
Indonesian artist Rosalina Lintang, or lintankleen on Deviantart, added a realistic touch to her drawings of the “Miracle Generation” and a couple of other supporting characters, satisfying the imagination of fangirls (and some fanboys) with a close-to-reality image of the characters, without losing their charming aura. In other words, the best of both worlds!
