Sakura Gakuin have released a short version of the highly anticipated music video for “Aogeba Toutoshi ~ from Sakura Gakuin 2014~“.
Sakura Gakuin makes a new friend from a far away land as they prepare to bid farewell to Yui Mizuno, Moa Kikuchi, Hana Taguchi, and Yunano Notsu (members graduate from Sakura Gakuin when they graduate from middle school). As they are about to start practicing “Aogeba Toutoshi” which is the traditional song that is sung at a graduation ceremony, a spacecraft crashes into the ground outside of their school building…
An alien that looks a lot like one of the Ewoks from Return of the Jedi emerges from the spacecraft, explaining that they came to visit from outer space because they love Japan so much. The girls spend most of the video teaching their new friend all about aspects of Japanese culture until a giant robot shows up at the graduation ceremony!
In case you missed it, here is the trailer for the video which features some extra footage not included in the short version of the video.
“Aogeba Toutoshi ~ from Sakura Gakuin 2014~” combines elements of the traditional graduation song with the hard rock stylings of KENKEN (RIZE) who also makes an appearance as a holographic band. It is the 2nd DVD single for the group and comes in two types. Type-A includes the first part of the making of film and the Type-B version includes the second part of the making of film. The version of the MV for “Aogeba Toutoshi ~ from Sakura Gakuin 2014~” on the DVD single is different from the version included on the DVD for the “Ra” limited edition version of Sakura Gakuin’s upcoming album “Sakura Gakuin 2014 Nendo ~Kimi ni Todoke~” which also will be released on March 25.
