Girls in Japan are going gaga over this unbelievably perfect Chinese cosplayer, but much about him remains a mystery.
Huang Jingxiang is a Chinese cosplayer and all-round handsome guy who posts his photos online to the delight of many female (and probably male, too) fans.
His cosplay of Tsurumaru Kuninaga from Touken Ranbu—the online game that anthropomorphizes Japanese swords into hot anime guys, much like what KanKolle has done with battleships and moe girls—has been a particularly huge hit not only in his home country but also in Japan.
Huang’s photos were tweeted by a Japanese account, but for some reason the images were later deleted after being liked over 15,000 times. Jingxiang expressed his surprise via his Weibo account that his photos had been so well-received in Japan—although he has over 500,000 followers on Weibo he still remains somewhat of a mystery outside the Chinese-language sphere. However, with his swift rise to popularity perhaps he’ll start reaching out to the Japanese and then Western fanbases. We can only hope!
