Japan has been turning cute, cuddly animals into terrifying monsters since…always.
In order to feel like you aren’t idly wasting your time, it’s a good idea to pick up a hobby or two. Creative people might head to a store and pick up an arts and craft project featuring a cute little animal, for example.
Who could resist the chance to make such an adorable, fuzzy guy out of soft felt? Maybe you have a young niece or nephew who needs a fun buddy, or maybe you have a child of your own you want to make it for. As long as you follow the included instructions, you’re going to end up with something that looks like the picture on the front.
Some rebels just have to fight the system, though.

What horrifying nightmare did this penguin crawl out from? It’s not just the bulky chest that’s freaking us out, but the super long arms and the tiny feet which remind us of a muscular mutant penguin that would be some super villain’s evil henchmen or something.
Speaking of freakishly muscular animals…

Let’s hope that pigs can’t really develop this sort of musculature, and that if they can, that they don’t realize that humans have been eating them for so long!
Kudos to the crafters who are able to create their own designs from a kits obviously meant to produce something much more cuddly. It takes a lot of creativity to be able to craft something like this from a 100 yen store needle felting kit.
We just wish that they would stop reaching into our dreams and pulling out the most demented and appalling things that we can think of.
