Take a look at what it’s like to be a jumping, chanting, glowstick-waving fan at a virtual reality idol concert in Japan!
The long-awaited PlayStation VR was released just a few days ago, and already Japanese gamers have been sharing clips of themselves enjoying the gameplay from some of their favourite titles. Amongst the most sought after of all new VR releases was Bandai Namco’s The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls Viewing Revolution, which features the nine idols of the Cinderella Project, who first appeared as mobile game characters in 2011. After making the transition to anime, manga, and even radio talk shows, the girls are now performing their well-known songs in a virtual reality amphitheatre, and this Japanese fan has shared some of the fun from his first VR concert with a short clip on Twitter.

While in reality the gamer is at home alone, facing a blank wall, inside the VR headset he’s surrounded by thousands of people, enjoying a performance by cute singing-and-dancing superstars!
Fellow fans have been full of praise and excitement for the game, and the audience member’s energetic performance.

While it takes a true fan to know all the audience calls and moves like this, other first-timers to the franchise have also been enjoying the game. Although, like this player, most of their time has been spent trying to look up the girls’ skirts.
For fans of the IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, the new VR game is the closest thing yet to enjoying a real idol performance from the comfort of home. And with no real audience members around, you won’t ever have to feel embarrassed about forgetting any of the moves!
