Clever styling cues give wearer a slender silhouette and visually longer legs.
Last January, Japanese fashion label No. S Project released a line of fetching skirts that promised to visually give wearers the waist and legs of an anime heroine. Now, the company is expanding the line to include full-fledged dresses, for which online orders have just begun.
Like the skirt that came before it, the dress, officially called the Retro Knit One-Piece, uses its flares and other stylistic elements give the appearance of a slender midsection and long legs.
The lines of the torso also provide a slimming effect…
…and at the rear, the material gathers at the small of the back, accented by a bow, to raise the perceived hipline.
Further feminine accents can be found at the cuffs and shoulders of the polyester/polyurethane blend garments.
In addition to the burgundy and navy versions pictured above, No. S Project also produces the Retro Knit One-Piece in black.
All three colors are identically priced at 25,920 yen (US$229), and are exclusively available online (burgundy here, navy here, black here) through Japanese fashion and novelty retailer Village Vanguard.
