Kanda brew pub combines three of the best things in life.
As distinct human beings, we all have our own individual tastes and preferences. However, some things in this world are almost univerdally loved, such as pizza, candy, and cherry blossoms.
So what would happen if you combined all three of those things? You’d get sakura cotton candy pizza. That might sound like something that could only exist inside a wonderful fever dream, but believe it or not, you can actually order this amazing culinary innovation at a restaurant in Tokyo right now.

Schmatz Beer Dining is a small chain of brew pubs with three locations in Tokyo. Right now, to celebrate the start of cherry blossom season, its branch in the Kanda neighborhood has made a slight change to its popular cotton candy pizza, replacing the regular cotton candy topping with a version that’s sprinkled with cherry blossoms petals.
The thin-crust, three-cheese pizza is served with a honey ginger sauce that you drizzle over the cotton candy, and this special version looks to have a sakura floating in it, for an added bit of springtime appeal.

Much like the cherry blossoms themselves, though, there’s a limited window of time in which you’ll be able to enjoy the sakura cotton candy pizza. It made its debut on March 27, and will only be sticking around until April 2, so if you want to experience all that this sakura season has to offer in Tokyo, make sure to visit Schmatz before or after one of you r cherry blossom parties in the park.
