Poor Ronald McDonald (known as “Donald” in Japan). He got all dressed up in his floppy red shoes and white makeup, put on his biggest smile, and marched down to a McDonald’s restaurant for a meet and greet, only to find that not a single child showed up to see him. And now, the people of the Internet are laughing at his tired, worn out expression.
The photo above surfaced on Twitter on August 25 and has been making the rounds on many Japanese Internet sites. Little is known of the situation surrounding this hilarious picture, but it was tweeted with the following caption that sheds a little light on what went down: “Today Donald-san came to the McDonald’s I was working at, but it seems that 0 children came. Hahah! He’s so bored he doesn’t even know what to do with himself! LOL! And that handheld fan! Hahahaha!”
Poor, poor Donald-san. It seems being snubbed by children is even more tiring than entertaining them. At least the Internet loves him…
