It’s that time of year again! Starbucks Japan has announced their line of holiday beverages and goodies! Yes, it’s amazing how quickly a year seems to go by, isn’t it?
This year, the coffee chain will be offering their customers seasonal goodness featuring caramel and toffee (and plenty of whipped cream), and if that’s how they’re expressing their holiday spirit, well, we have to say, “Bring the holiday sweetness on!!!”
This year, Starbucks’ holiday menu in Japan will include the Crunchy Caramel Toffee Latte and Crunchy Caramel Toffee Frappuccino in their signature red Holiday Season cup (as always, we find ourselves asking how in the world they make simple beverage names sound insanely delectable!).
The Crunchy Caramel Toffee Latte is a combination of espresso and steamed milk topped with an almond caramel sauce and a sprinkling of caramel toffee chips and crushed almonds to add a bit of crunchy texture. The Frappuccino too contains caramel toffee chips and almonds mixed into the frozen drink for a rich caramel taste almost like a dessert. And if you’re in the mood for piling on the flavors, they’re recommending extra hazelnut syrup for the Latte and chocolate chips for the Frappuccino…yum! Plus, they’ll also be bringing back the Gingerbread Latte this winter, which should add some delightful spice to your Holiday beverage selection.
The two caramel toffee drinks and the Gingerbread Latte will be available from November 5 to December 25. They’ll also continue promoting the Fruit Crush & Tea, which we’ve already tried, as a seasonal drink available until the end of November.
▼ Yes, we’ll be ready to face the colder weather with these warm and sweet drinks!
And of course, the holiday season also means a whole bunch of adorable seasonal Starbucks products, many of which quickly sell out.
This year’s offerings include a colorful array of items, including Holiday Bearista Dolls in a luxurious seasonal costume and mugs and tumblers in a variety of shapes and sizes like the Holiday Pine Cone Mug (1,700 yen [US$13.99]), Holiday Stainless Tumblers in red and white (3,800 yen), Holiday Double Wall Mug (2,800 yen), Holiday Sunny Bottle Candy Stripe (1,950 yen), Holiday Logo Charm tumbler Tree (1,600 yen), Holiday Gold Ring Mug (2,300 yen), and Holiday Whipped Cream Mug (2,600 yen). Now that’s one selection that looks like a lot of fun to choose from!
Once again, it seems like we’ll be able to find plenty of warmth and nourishment in a red cup this winter. Caramel, toffee, gingerbread….mmm, we knew there was a really good reason to look forward to the holiday season!
