Japanese ice skater Yuzuru Hanyu is as famous for breaking world records as he is for wooing Japan’s cats, but his next role should be in a Star Wars film, if this edited video is any indication.
Twitter user @nobu_llllllllll decided to try giving Yuzuru a lightsaber in one of his record-breaking performances, and we think you’ll agree that it’s just the best ice skating video we’ve seen this week!

J.J. Abrams clearly should have approached the young athlete for a guest-starring role in the new Star Wars film—his lightsaber skills are amazing. We’d be perfectly happy to see Yuzuru fighting a Sith lord on ice.
Maybe someone should think about adding a new event to the Olympics: Ice sword skating would definitely draw a huge number of viewers!
