The former Nintendo frontman is remembered in this short but incredibly moving animation.
Shown at the end of the Game Developers Choice Awards held on March 15, this touching video celebrates Satoru Iwata‘s many achievements as a creator, director and Nintendo president before he died suddenly in July last year.
Ending with a quote from his 2005 speech at the same conference, gaming site Eurogamer reports that the video was met with a standing ovation from the event’s many attendees, who were clearly very moved.
We’ll let you get right to the video, since words alone really won’t do it justice.
It’s clear that Mr Iwata will be fondly remembered for a long time to come.
