Fans of school uniforms and the animated film alike will love this comfortable sailor-style outfit.
Sailor-style school uniform loungewear seems to be all the rage these days, with options even for men. And now, our favorite purveyor of all things strange and wonderful – Village Vanguard – is getting in on the action with school uniform loungewear based on the outfit worn by high school character Jun Naruse and her classmates in the animated movie The Anthem of the Heart.
The film, titled in Japanese Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda, is a youth drama film released in Japan in September 2015.
The loungewear is made of a comfortable cotton-polyester blend, and with its dress-like design, there’s no constricting waistband or worrying about tucking in your shirt, making it easy to move around in.
The full outfit is white with blue-grey accents in the ribbon on the collar and buttons down the front.
The embroidered emblem is even added to match the uniforms from the anime.
The loose-fitting, one-size-fits-all design makes it great for wearing on lazy days around the house. You can preorder the school uniform loungewear at Village Vanguard’s online store (sorry, Japanese only) for 8,500 yen (US$82.25). Delivery is expected to be around the end of January 2017.
