Priced at $19,600 and with only ten ever produced, this is one special delivery you don’t get to see every day.
Back in January we introduced you to the mind-blowing features of a life-sized figure from the light novel and anime series Saekano (also known as Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata or How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend). Created by Aniplex, the 158-centimetre (62.2-inch) tall figure depicts one of the main characters, Megumi Kato, in a pose based on an illustration by series character designer Kurehito Misaki, and only ten were ever made available.

The ten lucky winners, whose applications were selected through a draw, had the privilege of forking out a whopping 1,980,000 yen (US$19,602.99) to purchase the life-sized model, and while the successful applicants waited anxiously to receive their beautifully crafted figures, the rest of us could only dream of ever being able to afford such an expensive product.
▼ Imagine having a life-sized figure like this to keep you company at home!
Just when we thought that would be the end of the story, something wonderful happened online. One of the lucky owners decided to share photos of the life-sized model as it was being delivered to his house.

We might not be able to have her for ourselves, but at least we could now live vicariously through one of her new owners as she was delivered safely into his beautiful home!
The new life-sized model looks right at home amongst her new owner’s extensive figurine collection.
She looks equally gorgeous in the romantic lighting of the lounge room. Although in this picture, we don’t know whether to gawk at the life-sized figure or the jaw-droppingly stunning room around her.
While the majority of Twitter users couldn’t stop gushing over the owner’s palatial mansion and speculating about his fortune, some managed to re-focus their attention on the expensive figure in the room, with comments like:
“OMG I wish I could have her waiting for me in my house like that!”
“I envy you so much!”
“It’s my dream to have a room set aside just for figurines – yours looks like a museum!”
“Congratulations! She’s absolutely gorgeous.”
“Wow – I’m so impressed they delivered her on her own wooden palette!”
As one of only ten life-sized Megumi Kato figures made worldwide, this purchase is a dream come true for any collector. And while we may not have enough yen to afford one of these for ourselves, we’re glad the new owner shared these photos of his stunning purchase!
