Soon you’ll be able to use your Pokémon camera to take Pokémon photos, and then keep them in a Pokémon album too.

The Pokémon franchise is built on the idea that there’s a lot of cool stuff in the world, and the only way to find it is to get out there and start looking. You may not know what you’re going to see on your adventures, but you can be sure there’s going to be something to remember.

That same sense of spontaneous discovery and shared memories is also the core appeal of Polaroid’s instant cameras, and that kindred spirit is now bringing them together with the reveal of a new Pokémon Polaroid collaboration.

Three special themed cameras are on the way, with the most obviously Pocket Monster-inspired being the Special Edition Go Gen 3–Pikachu model.

With that distinctive Pikachu tail strap, this one signals right away that no matter what might be in your viewfinder at the moment, you’ve always got Pikachu in your heart.

A bit more subtle is the Special Edition Now Gen 3-Pokémon design, but even from afar, fellow fans will quickly pick up on the color scheme being an homage to a Poké Ball.

Pikachu’s presence is pretty much always a given in crossovers like this, but if there’s a second specific species being represented, it’s often Eevee. Polaroid, though, is instead giving a salute to one of Eevee’s many evolutions with the Special Edition Go Gen 3-Sylveon camera.

And yes, Pokémon Polaroid film is also part of the partnership, with the three options here being the Polaroid Color i-Type Film-Pokémon Edition, Polaroid Go Color Film- Pokémon Pikachu Edition Double Pack, and Polaroid Go Color Film–Pokémon Sylveon Edition Double Pack.

The Pikachu and Sylveon versions are all about their respective Pokémon, while a variety of species appear on the frames of the Pokémon Edition film.

Included with the themed film are some cool dark slides for other members of the Pokémon’s evolutionary family trees and some, but not all, of the original starter trio..

And rounding out the collection are Poké Ball-style camera cases, photo albums, and camera straps.

The Pikachu and Eevee cameras are priced at US$99.99, and the Poké Ball color-scheme camera at US$139.99, both equivalent to a US$10-premium over non-themed Go Gen 3 and Now Gen 3 models. The film packs range from US$22.99 to US$24.99, while the Poké Ball camera case and photo album are US$24.99 each and the Poké Ball-motif camera strap is US$14.99.

Preorders for the entire lineup start on August 25 through the Polaroid online store, and the company says the items will also be offered through the Pokémon Center online shop’s U.S., U.K., and Canada storefronts, with a release date of October 5.
