In celebration of the release of Monsters University, Baskin Robbins Japan has created an ice cream cake featuring the movie’s main character, Mike Wazowski. We know that this movie is all about scary monsters learning how to terrify children, but this Mike cake is almost too cute to eat.
The sequel to Monsters Inc will hit theatres in Japan on July 6 (two weeks after its US release) and the circular Mike cake will go on sale a day earlier. The cake is officially named “Mike get the No.1” (technically “Maiku getto za No.1” in Japanese) and features green Melon au lait and white vanilla ice cream.
▲ Two layers of deliciousness!
Mike’s eye and mouth are made of white chocolate and a blue sugar MU cap tops his round head. The cake is complete with a Sulley pick and “Mike” pendant. A free original Mike and Sulley message card adds a nice finishing touch.
In true Baskin Robbins Japan fashion, the Monsters University cake (or any cake or ice cream purchased for that matter) will come topped with a brick of dry ice. So enjoy ordering your Monsters University cake to-go, eating it in the theatre, and playing with the dry ice afterwards!
